Children’s Home — Devou Park

Meet Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky

At Devou Park, we recognize that mental health is just as important as physical health. That’s why we’re proud to have Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky as one of our park neighbors.

Established in Covington in 1882, CHNK is a premier provider of behavioral health and addiction treatment services. Outpatient and residential services are designed for youth who have experienced a mental health disorder, abuse, neglect, addiction, or other serious trauma.

Nestled on more than 25 serene acres of private property adjoining the park, CHNK’s Devou Park campus opened its doors in 1925. The campus’s focal point, a stunning Colonial Revival style administration building, was designed by the renowned architectural firm of Samuel Hannaford & Sons. The campus also includes three smaller treatment buildings and an expansive front lawn that can be rented for events and other gatherings.

Natural surface trails can profoundly transform the community. They provide affordable and accessible opportunities to improve the health and wellness of both residents and visitors, they boost the local economy through tourism, and they enhance environmental preservation.

Although Devou Park is under the management of the City of Covington, the City does not fund the natural surface trail development, tread maintenance, tools, signs, maps or features such as bridges and culverts. All proceeds from Party in the Park will be invested directly into Devou Park’s natural surface trails, ensuring they continue to benefit the Greater Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky community for decades to come!
